i5-4670k Advice for overclocking.

I just built a new comp with a sparkling new i5-4670k and a hyper 212 Evo. I am a little concerned about the installation. I just used a roughly pea-sized amount and made it very even, but as I installed the cooler it wiggled around quite a bit almost sliding halfway off the CPU. Nonetheless, I'm going to keep with it and OC unless my temps say otherwise.

I'm doing some preliminary tests. In Prime95 with large FFT's after about 15 minutes of full load my temps are around 50-60C which is obvously up from my idle temps around 35-40C. I'm using Real Temp GT 3.70 for my measurements.

Should I keep going?

Update: 52 minutes in and the top temp is 70C

What are you overclocking to. 70C is normal for our chip.

I'm OC to 4.0ghz at 1.180v. Idle temp 36-42C. Max core temp at 73C.
Probably going to lower voltage to get max temps at 65-70C.

Sorry for the delay, I got busy with school. It was at 4.2 Ghz. All I did was goof with the multiplier in BIOS. I hadn't stress tested it though. I will in about 6 weeks when I get back home from school.

It's looking fine, and may even drop a couple degrees or more once the TC cures
