Either will be good, depends on the games. Some games tailor to multithreaded systems, BF4 and AMD, some towards single threaded, Skyrim and Intel.
So, once you figure what you really want to play, you'll have an answer. AMD usually runs a little cheaper, but the 8350 with a good aftermarket cooler can be overclocked like a champ, especially on a FX990 mobo, the I5 4440 is not overclockable, so a cheaper H87 or B85 mobo is good instead of the more expensive Z87.
