Hey guys, currently I have Intel 4771 , and many are saying that 4770K is better than 4771 . So which one is the more upgraded CPU ? 4770 K or 4771 in terms of Stock Speed ?
Shall I change my CPU to 4770K from 4771 ?

Thanks in advance

are you going to overclock with a z87 motherboard? if not, then it make no different cause they have the same spec.

If you have no intentions to overclock what so ever, my recommendation would be to stay with the 4771.
They are the same CPU, at some stock speeds. 4771 could pull ahead in some applications due to having VT-d and TSX enabled.
But non of those will be utilized for the general application.

I dont see a reason to go with the 4770k if you dont want to overclock, there are absolut 0 reasons to.
Even if you will overclock, I would only advise it if you could change it for free or for a VERY low price.

I am not going to Overclock and I have not done it with any CPU I have used till date. To me , overclocking is like forcing the thing to do something beyond its own strength . It gets hot , therefore we need good cooling systems. Therefore I dont like Overclocking anything and I wont ever.
And what is VT-d and TSX enabled ?

VT-d for virtualization and TSX is very complicated.

Short: allows multiple threads to access the same cache line.

Thanks for clearing my doubt. Definately I am keeping my 4771 as it has the above mentioned feature. :)
