I think they are very close to each other but yes it depends on what you are using it for. If it is Games go with the cheaper one because games do not use the CPU all that much and use your extra bucks on your GPU because that is what is going to give your games the boost they need.

Gaming, the i3 is better if using a dedicated GPU. If you intend to game on the IGP, which I don't recommend, the 6800k is better.
