I am wanting to build a decent gaming PC for this price. This will be my first build. I live in Canada and close to a NCIX store. I dont need an optical drive or OS. I would also like to be able to upgrade it in the future. I am looking at the following list:

Cheaper and superior.
Slightly better GPU as well in most games.
This RAM is just as good as the vengeance and less.
XFX 550W PSU, perfectly good quality and 1/2 of yoiur current PSU's price.
Bronze/Platinum doesn't mean much at lower Wattage really.
1TB Drive for less than a 500gb...
Includes CPU cooler so you can OC.

Is CPU cooling a must?Well, stock coolers are usually kind of loud and don't work very good.
If you're able to handle the sound and aren't going to overclock (and you don't use your computer in a hot (80degrees farenheit) room) you should be able to get by without it.
But expect your computer to sound like a weak vacuum cleaner when you play games. Having a headset will negate that alot though.

The only thing i am second guessing is getting a HD. I have the 320gb 7200 and a 1tb external. That should be enough........shouldn't it?320GB should be enough if you aren't collector of HD movies
And if you uninstall games you dont play anymore. And delete any zipped archives and stuff.

I am second guessing my CPU and GPU choice. I have everything but CPU, GPU and memory. If i get the 6300 with the gtx 660 i don't want to spend more money in 6 months to a year to upgrade. I have about a 400$ budget for those 3 things. What do you guys recommend i do? Stay with those or go with something a little better? Thanks for all the help so far.

Just so you know, the 660 is slower than the 270.I'd take FX-6300+270 2GB for CPU/GPU
8GB 1600mhz RAM as suggested earlier is fine.
If you have 400$ then 750ti and 8320 is the way to go 750ti is faster than 270 and cheaper

GTX 750 Ti is not faster than a R9 270! An overclocked 750 Ti scores P6536 in 3Dmark 11 and 4520 in Firestrike. A not so heavily OCed R9 270 scores P7932 and 5260. Source http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/palit_geforce_gtx_750_ti_stormx_dual_review,17.html
I'd definitely go for a R9 270!

750ti DOES NOT beat the 270.
look at benchmarks please:
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1034?vs=1130
using 7870 as the r9 270(the r9 270 is 10% better than the 7870) still beats the 750 ti.

Yeah, sorry my mistake! OP R9 270 is faster than 750ti so if you can get 8320 and R9 270 get it it will maintain your gaming at 1080p (Didn't know why i thought 750ti faster than 270, maybe it's fanboy playing inside me

It's not the same, it's similar but better.
Got a superior cooler in my opinion at least, looks like it will cool better with 2 fans instead of 1single fan
also are you talking about this one?

This isn't no R9 270, It's an R9 270X (model up from 270) and on a good price right now
