Blank screen on boot up

When I boot up my new pc for the first time it comes up with the motherboard logo (gigabyte) and then turns black anybody help? thanks

Could be a driver conflict with the OS. If you're using Windows, keep pressing the F8 key after you see the Gigabyte logo go away. This should bring you to the Advanced Boot Options menu. Use the down arrow to highlight "Low resolution mode". Press the Enter key to select. Alternatively, you could try "Safe mode with networking".
