Okay, the first problem has been solved but that has given way to another. My PC was fine for the better part of the year so I thought one day that freeing up space would be a good idea. Right now I would say the HDD space is less than half full at 644gb currently out of 909. Gaming performance is slightly increased but hindered due to a persistant problem with the CPU or proscesses weigning it down. When performing regular tasks, the computer often freezes and takes several minutes to respond properly or just enough so I can close the program. For example iTunes while playing music or non live podcasts eventually stutters a few times, continues normally and then comes to a complete hault replaying the same sound its stuck on forever untill i manage to close the program. If anyone can recomend a method to rid myself of this problem, registry cleaner or antivirus software I would be grateful also The specs are below

HP Pavilion Notebook PC
Intel Core i7-3610QM (2.3 Ghz)
8GB RAM
64 bit OS
NVIDIA GeForce GT650M
909 HDD Space

I don't really know as of this moment what the usual boot cpu usage is because I dont check out regularly. What I know for sure is that the idle cpu usage is around 3-18% on average. Now it struggles to do even simple tasks . I hadn't installed anything recently but a registry cleaner called Registry Reviver.

Well that is A solution and by the way Registry Reviver is wiped clean and over with. Still the problem persisists with the proscesses taking up memory they hadnt previously and simple tasks such as right clicking things to a drop down menu taking several seconds. Apart from this do you know any real registry cleaning software?
