Hi,I have had these sticks of ram for a while but I have never noticed the ram speeds untill I recently wanted to check the CPU fan speed in the BIOS and I saw that my ram which is
DDR3 1333Mhz is only running at 800 Mhz. What could be causing the ram not to be running at the speed that is advertised?

Setup
CPU:AMD Phenom II X4 965
MOBO: ECS A885GM-A2
RAM: Crucial Balistix 1333Mhz DDR3
(3 x 2GB & 1 x 4GB)
HDD: Seagate 500GB
GPU:GTX 660

ddr is double the speed, so the 800 is actually 1600mhz and your ram is running at that speed.

If you ram is running at 1600 and is only rated for 1333, then it's running overclocked. Now depending on the RAM, it may have bad timing at that high of a clock rate, or it may be around the same timings. IF it's running fine, it's probably fine. In reality, the difference between 9CL and 10CL and 1333 and 1600 is somehting no one will ever notice in anything buy synthetic benchmarks.
