These are my specs:
Case: Gigabyte GZ-G3 Plus
MB:Gigabyte H61m-S2PVB3 rev.2.1
CPU:I3 2120 3.3ghz
GPU:Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5670 1GB DDR3
RAM:1X Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333MHz 1X Transcend 4GB DDR3 1333MHz
HDD:Hitachi 250GB 7200rpm sata3 WD Caviar Green WD20EZRX
CD-Drive is a normal samsung one for 20 usd
PSU:350w model uknown too lazy to open up the case and it's a old brand name of in-win

the 5670 is a relatively weak card. your cpu can handle alot more as far as a gpu goes, if you want to call that a bottleneck, then yes.

PSU is a problem here. . and card is not much to the marks as your processor . . so there is a issue

Probably a little both ways

Still enough to handle a GTX 750 ti at the very least. OP, yes your GPU is definitely holding you back. I would suggest a GTX 750ti, as it is far better. You would only be using about 225w, so your 350w would still be sufficient. Most everything else, that would be worth upgrading to, would require a new PSU.

Your GPU is not bottle necking your CPU. Your GPU IS however going to be the limiter in terms of gaming performance.

Is there a bottleneck - yes. Though I'd guess it goes either way depending on the game being played. As in a very CPU dependant game could do better with a better CPU, while a high graphics load game would be better with a faster GPU.

With a 350W PSU - id say leave that system alone... or go for a major upgrade (CPU, GPU, and PSU at a minimum)

I wouldn't leave it alone. A GTX 750ti would be a worthy upgrade without scrapping the whole system. HD 7850 speeds without needing external pci-E is pretty damn good. Paired with the i3, it would make for a solid little gaming rig overall. No speed demon, but far better than that with that old GPU they have now.

If the PSU can actually makes the 350w it claims then he is probably "ok" but yeah you need a new video card and PSU.

If you want to play game at a decent resolution upgrade your PSU to 450-500 PSU (you can some good ones on sale for about $30-50) and get a AMD 7700 for about $100.

BWA AH HA HA HA HA!!!!!

Sorry that is just too funny. The typical usage "bottleneck" is the thing that limits performance. If the GPU is going to be the limiter in terms of gaming performance... it WOULD be the bottleneck in the system.

in other words i should get a amd r7 260x and a decent power supply with atleast 450w yeah i been thinking allot iv'e saved up enough money to get the r9 270 and 500w elite cooler master but my parents wont let me get it i guess I have to do something "useful" (in the mind of my dad) start learning something like coding or video editing modelling etc.

ah well you probably talk him into at least replacing your PSU. Thats just a good investment and less chance of your PSU killing you PC.

Once that is upgraded you can then work on your parents about letting you spend you money on something you want. Not sure how old you are but do try to do better in school and jobs around the place to soften your folks up.

I am 14 right now from may 15 i will just wait a while and try to learn something from coding or video editing etc. I guess that is the only way i can make my dad let me buy something that doesn't matter right now thank you for the info.

The fact that it is typically used incorrectly does not make it correct however (as evidenced by all the "does my CPU bottleneck my GPU???" type questions). Let me throw a situation at you. Take a system with 2gtx 780 ti in it. Now, you could throw a third card in and would get a [marginal] increase in FPS. Would you call that a bottleneck? Most people wouldn't, yet the system is limited by the GPU and adding a third card increases performance. What about a system with a 4770k in it? You could probably get 2-3 extra FPS by upgrading to 2011 platform and putting a 4960k in it. Would you say that a system with a 4770k is CPU bottlenecked? What about one with 4930k? The way you use the word, every single system in existence right now is bottlenecked by every single relevant component and so using the term that way is meaningless.
The CORRECT way to use the term is when one component in the system is slowing down another component (for instance, when an outdated CPU can't physically issue enough render commands to keep up with the GPU). It doesn't simply mean something that could be upgraded to improve the system, because that could apply to literally every single system in existence.

I guess my system doesn't have that much of a bottleneck like my other computer i built for my dad's workshop put a old nvidia 7100gs slow as the one with mid end celeron from 2003 and geforce 6200 got the nvidia 7100gs out works like new
