Laptop As 2nd Monitor?

Hello All,
I have an AMD Radeon HD 5570 card - an old but still very functional main display card (non-gaming). I also have a Dell D630 laptop that serves as the backup to my main computer, and I've been wondering / thinking about using the laptop as a second display to my main computer.

1. First, is it possible to use a laptop as a "2nd display" (D-Sub connector from the AMD card to the laptop or some other configuration)?
2. If so, can the 5570 support dual monitors?
3. If not will a second card do the trick (I don't want to get rid of the 5570 because of its quality display)?
4. Any thoughts on hooking up such a configuration?

Any help is greatly appreciated; also feel free to answer any question that I haven't asked but which needs to be addressed.

Regards,
BearPup

No, laptops only have a Video out function, not a Video in. It's impossible to use the laptop screen as a 2nd monitor without taking the screen off and modding it somehow to allow an input from another source.
