So, just bought the Gainward Phantom edition of the Gtx 770. Now i have always gone for Asus's versions of gpu's because they perform well, they look decent and they run really really quiet.

Now figured i'd try somthing new for a change, and pick up somthing that alot of people have been bragging about, not to mention a card that matches my case's custom painted theme.

And the card performs really well, but it is insanly loud.

Got CM Hyper 212 Evo with (push - pull config) using 2x NZXT fans for the cpu
140mm NZXT intake in the front
120mm Fractial Design R2 Silent for rear exhaust
120mm Fractial Design R2 Silent for HDD cooling
And 2x 140mm Fractial Design R2 Silent for top exhaust.
And they all run trough a fan controller, meaning my system in it self is really really silent (close to soundless).

So getting a gpu that generates up to 40db under gaming load kinda started to get on my nerves.

So my question is, does anyone have any ideas for making the card more silent without having to throttle it down? No watercooling suggestion please, cause watercooling parts is close to impossible to get a hold of in Norway. :)

You could try liquid cooling. ;) jk jk

You might can try an aftermarket cooler for the card, or changing the way your case intakes cool air. Maybe make the top fans pull in or the rear fan pull in. You honestly shouldn't need that much exhaust in a case anyway.
