I recently purchased an evga gtx 760 graphics card for my pc. After playing for a few hours i noticed a burning smell coming from my pc. i was very worried so i opened my speedfan program to see the temps. Everything was blue except my cpu (around 110F) and my gpu (around 135F) while playing titanfall, and other games that use a lot of power. I did some research and saw that those are normal temps when playing games. At idle all my temps are very cool. It only happened after i installed the new gpu. what could it be? i set most games on all high, 2xmsaa, and anisotropic 4x.

my rig
Motherboard:asus m5a97 r2.0
Cpu:amd phenom II x4 955
Gpu:evga gtx 760
psu:atx power supply unit 650w
RAM:8 gb crucial ballistix

I agree with Geto the power supply could be the issue if its a "bargain" brand it could be getting over whelmed by the draw of your new VGA card. Does it smell like insulation burning or something else, and does that smell seem to be coming from the PS or some place else? And what is the brand and model of the PS?

You can use this website to get an idea of some of the good models out there. You don't want to get a cheap power supply to save money or your doomed to replace it and if your lucky it won't damage your computer when it goes.
