Hi all, I've had my PC for about 3 months now but over the last 3 days I've been experiencing some problems with it. The problem is sudden shut downs I get no BSOD or error screen it's just an immediate shut down, this problem has only just started happening so I decided to investigate, most websites pointed me towards components of the PC overheating. So I downloaded CPUID HW monitor so I could monitor my temperatures, it said that all of my components temperatures were around the 30-35 degree mark which is fine right?

With my temperatures being normal I'm beginning to think that one of my components has to be faulty, but to be honest I have no idea whether his statement is accurate or not because these immediate shut downs seem completely random, sometimes It shuts down under heavy load and sometimes it shuts down during surfing the web. If anyone could help it would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks a lot for helping me so quickly

I5 4670k
GTX 660 2GB
MSI-Z81 G41-PC mate MOBO
6GB RAM
500W CORSAIR PSU

Is this Wattage to low for my rig could this cause the PSU to be faulty?

What exact model Corsair PSU do you have? Listing just a "500w Corsair" does not say much since there are many different models of Corsair PSU and while most of them are good-great the CX line from what I understand is not that great. And I agree it sounds like a PSU problem to me to.

Yes my PSU model is a CX, do you recommend going for a 650W or higher PSU that isn't CX? Sorry about being so vague.
