problems with a10-5800k

hi recently bought an oem amd a10-5800k. once received i removed my old processor and installed the new one. the computer turns on and stays on yet there is no display on the screen what so ever. i dont want to return the item since i bought for such a cheap price. need help fast

A lot of reviewers on new egg say that this processor runs pretty hot and that the stock cooler isn't sufficient to keep it cool enough especially under load, but the fact that you can't that your problem persists even after switching to your old APU could mean that there is something wrong with your motherboard.

there will be a three pin header labeled CLRTC with a jumper attached. With no power to mobo place that jumper across one pin to cover both the exposed pin and center pin. Then replace to original position. Reboot into bios and make any changes as required.
