I'm thinking of getting a gaming PC and have found myself a build - would this build run BF4? And Titanfall? I don't need it to max out anything I just want to know if it will run them smoothly

CPU - AMD Athlon II x4 750k
MOTHERBOARD - MSI FM2 - A75 MA - p33
HARD DRIVE - WD caviar blue 1tb
GRAPHICS CARD - gigabyte Radeon R7 260x 2gb
CASE - cooler master k350 gamer USB 3.0
PSU - corsair builder 430 80+ bronze
RAM - 8gb corsair vengeance DDR3
OPTICAL DRIVE - don't know yet... Any suggestions?? Don't want to spend too much

Also I need to know how to connect the PC to wifi and what I would need to do it as my modem is about 10m away and through a wall and don't want to run a cable

If this won't run and of the games listed above could you please give some suggestions on how to optimise it so it will play them

Thanks :)

Gaming on WIFI is really not recommended.

I would read alot of reviews before deciding on an adapter. They range from total junk to mostly decent to actually good all for the same price.

I'm in Australia and have a budget of around 500 give or take a little bit for the PC not including games and keyboard and Mouse and stuff (I already have a monitor)

I used to game on my xbox through wifi - and I worked really well - how much different is it on PC?

And bad kitty - do you suggest using a USB interface or PCI adaptor for the wifi? Which one would be better?

Ok thanks - also aren't you able to connect another wifi modem to your other modem by wifi and run a cord from the second modem into the computer?

Don't over complicate things just get a PCI wifi adapter.

Ok I suppose that would be easiest - do you know weather the motherboard I have chosen supports a PCI adaptor - sorry for all the questions... I'm new to this as I was previously a console player

Just get a USB adapter. It will perform IDENTICAL to a PCI adapter. They do the same exact thing. Neither is better or worse.

I have a d-link usb adapter right now. Sticks out of the back of my pc , but it gets the job done. Also it was pretty cheap I think it was $10 at the time I bought it.

Really - reviews online have all said that pci adapters give a slightly stronger signal - and when im playing online multiplayer in these games, wouldn't that be fairly noticeable?

Honestly I see no difference when using my laptop vs the desktop with a usb adapter when going online.

No it will have nothing to do with speed at all. And it isn't true that PCI adapters are better. As long as your are not miles form the router, a USB adapter will perform excellently, but if you plan to do most of your gaming online in large multiplayer games wireless is really not ideal at all in any capacity.

will i still be able to play them online smoothly or will it still lag too much?

Yes you would be fine but for 10m I would just drag a cable across the hall when you game and use a hard connection, then when you are done coil it back up and use wireless for browsing etc.

You will not lag, but the chances of dropping connection or losing connection are DRASTICALLY increased when using wireless of any kind.
