I was wondering How much difference it would make upgrading from one 8gb 1333mhz ram stick to 2x4gb 2133 mhz ram sticks. I have been told this should make a lot of difference as my gpu shares the memory and should gain a lot from this change. Could you please tell me if this is true and how much difference in FPS would this make.

Yes it would give a nice performance boost. This is only true for APU's, dedicated GPU set up do not benifit from faster RAM what so ever (Test by corsair have shown Haswell might benefit from faster ram but still waiting for more test before I suggest it otherwise) BUT yes APU do really benefit from faster RAM its hard to give a number as every game is different but ranges from 5-15 fps increase averaging about 10 fps in most games.
