Upgrading my old pc

Hi all forum members

I want to upgrade my old pc after 5 years. My budget is gonna be max 500dollars but less would be better of course. So i need price/performance parts at this point. I will use the pc for web browsing, daily stuff like youtube and movies etc. and for gaming i will play mainly dota2 and warcraft 3. But i also want to play the games like witcher2, diablo3 and grim dawn.

My current pc parts are like that;
CPU: AMD phenom II x2 545
MOBO: gigabyte ga-ma770 ud3
Ram: kingston 2x2gb 800hz
GPU: sapphire hd4830 128bit 512mb
PSU: thermaltake 550watt
Case: cooler master elite 333 midtower
And all the coolers are stock coolers(inculing the cpu)

I already have windows 7 and i like it. And i will be buying the parts from us

This looks great, only thing is I would switch the ram for 1866 A-Data ram. It's the same price and it's faster.

Great! Would intel be expensive? Cuz i always hear that intel is much more stable and has no heating issues

No, it's only about $7 more for the i3, however when it comes to gaming at a budget you want to go amd. The fx 6300 will be better for gaming and it's just as reliable as intel.

Add a bit more and get an i5 4440 3.1ghz. It should be around 450 so still below your max budget.

Oh yea, forgot about the 4440. That CPU is about $180 compared to the 6300's $110 price tag.

Razerz's is right. Definately go for this one. You will not find a better cpu for this price.

Really no point in a cpu cooler. Don't get it as you can't overclock that chip. The stock fan will do just fine.
