Hey,

I'm currently in the process of building a new gaming rig and over the last few days found myself changing my mind over CPU Coolers.

I have a Fractal Design Define R4 (Windowed) case. It's black/red themed.

My original plan was to have a H100i, then use 2 PWM SP120 fans (red rings) on it, so both performance and aesthetic. However, I'm thinking having both moduvents open in the top of my case will generate more noise and allow dust into my case / more cleaning of the H100i radiator?

This brings me on to the Cooler Master V8 GTS. Aesthetically, I think it would look great in my case as it matches the theme and I've got a windowed side panel. It also means I wouldn't need to open the top moduvents, so potentially quieter to. Also cheaper than the above. My temps won't be as a low and I won't be able to overclock as high, comfortably.

I would like to overclock, but what are the real differences between coolers? As an estimate, how much further could I clock an i5 4670k with a H100i?

Thoughts/advice/alternatives please! :)

My build:
CPU: i5 4670k
Mobo: Asus Maximus VI Hero C2
GFX: Asus R9 280x DirectCU II TOP
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2x4GB) 1866MHz
PSU: XFX 750W XXX Edition
Storage(SSD): 120GB Samsung 840 EVO

(I have HDDs, CD/DVD/Blu-Ray reader/writer etc. already)

Move your hard drive cage back a slot, toss in a H110 280mm liquid cooler in the front and call it a day. You wont need to remove any of the sound deadening covers and still get liquid cooled performance.

Thanks for the responses, I'm leaning more towards H100i rather than 110i because of the Link software, LED colour control and fan control

Anyone got any other suggestions/advice?
