hey at moment im 1080 Core. and 1500 on the memory.

what i was wondering what does memory clock do for games? does it help with high rez and high amounts AA on to a game? most importantly something like eyefinity setup with some AA , should memory be big factor in that setup? as in theory in my head from what i know about GPU's , is that memory clock effects AA and better for high rez, due to fact its memory bandwidth

Overclocking adds more performance to any given game you play, so it helps getting more frames and possibly one extra level of detail. With higher resolutions it makes more sense to heavy overclock as it like to put gpu under extra stress than it otherwise would.

well my core clock is stuck at 1070 at the moment due to voltage lock but my memory is still overclocking its at 1580 mhz so far games like bf4 crash if i overclock hard on the core, but other games let me do 1085 on the core. i should see nice bump in fps if both cards clocked the same.

I have a single 7970 and Overclock it to 1120 core and 1675 memory @1.2v and the gains are pretty impressive. I would say about 10-15 percent better preformance in some games. It probably doesn't make too much sense for you becuase you have 2 7970, unless you are gaming on 1440p or greater.

i'm gaming in eyefinity, so its needed, plus it was best value at time get 2 ^^ as my GTX 580 was still strong when hd 7970 came out, so i need larger performance gain got 2 of them ^^, great cards, my memory overclock lots better then my core but i think core produces better results in fps, but im caped due to volt locked
