I'm trying to download the latest JDK 7, but it keeps telling me that the file I'm trying to download is not a valid 32bit. However, when I try to download the 32bit version, I get the same error. I'm not sure what I should do, so any suggestions would help. I have tried to re-download everything, but I'm having no luck. My computer is Windows 7 x64

what do you need java for? its nothing but a malware magnet and unless you need it for something specific you can just as easily do without it.dont confuse it with java script which you can enable in your browser.i havent had java on my machine in about a year and have not had one instance where i did need it.

aldan, java has one incredibly important use...MINECRAFT!

Anyway, while 32 bit will work with a 64 bit system, you want the 64 bit you originally tried to get. Maybe try downloading it in another browser? Sounds like a corrupt download to me.

hahaha, see your point there.im not a gamer so i have no need for it.

Haha yeah even the fact that Java comes with an opt-out instead of opt-in borderline-malware Ask.com Toolbar is a bit suspicious...but it does have a few good uses.
