Blackwidow USB port problems

As many might know, the razer blackwidow ultimate edition has a built in usb port on the side which is very useful. Usually, I use this port to plug in my iphone charger. Up until recently, this has worked fine, but now, my computer says usb device not recognized, no matter how many times I unplug and plug back in. Any solutions?

These USB's to my guess are not designed to support that powerful things. It's for a mice or something similar to it.
My point is, that things that require more power should be plugged into native ports of the desktop..

the thing is, its worked before. It just recently stopped working.
