Hello,
I am trying to upgrade the RAM but am having trouble finding a list of qualified pieces for my MOBO.
I have a P7H57D-V EVO currently 2 x 2. I was looking at options like "G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL" on Newegg and am not sure if that will work with my system.
Asus lists this under my MOBO settings:
4 x DIMM, Max. 16 GB, DDR3 2133(O.C.)*/1600/1333/1066 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel memory architecture
Supports Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)
*Hyper DIMM support is subject to the physical characteristics of individual CPUs. Some hyper DIMMs only support one DIMM per channel. Please refer to Memory QVL for details.
How do I know if a pair of sticks off newegg or elsewhere fits these qualifications?

If you wanted you could go higher, which will require an OC on the rig, 1600/9 is a good fit ant the Ripjaws X are very good with the 1156 mobos
