SSD as boot drive and running games off of it

Hello,

I have a small inquiry. I recently purchased 3 SSDs and I plan to give one away (to my sister).
We are both running SATA II machines. I'm not looking to upgrade to SATA III b/c I don't see the point right now for unseen gains, and my wallet is screaming right now.

I purchased 1 Samsung 840 Evo 120GB, 1 PNY XLR8 120GB, and 1 PNY XLR8 240GB.

The 240GB one is my boot drive and currently has 125 GB free. The Samsung is in my laptop, and the 120GB is currently up for debate:

This is my issue -- I want to give the 120GB one to my sister so I am wondering if I can still run games off of the 240GB with little drop in speed, loading and overall SSD performance. Will I notice issues, or can I simply proceed with my plan, and give the 120GB one to my sister?

Thank you in advance,
sush

No, I am wondering if I will see any drop in performance using my 240GB drive as both a boot drive and a drive for playing games off of.
