okay so i got this old rig, and i cant really afford to do much true upgrading,
but i have do do some minor changes, because its getting really loud and noisy which is driving me nuts,
i wanted to change the CPU fan for one, and the thing is, i found the right socket fan(775),
but under the fans specs, in fact all of the fan i've found within price range, my cpu is not listed as supported
will that matter if i buy it? will the mobo not use it proper? will i run into mounting troubles/will it fit at all? etc?
or are they just not listing my cpu for some strange reason since it is the right socket?
mobo is: gigabyte ga-p35-ds3, socket 775
with a intel core 2 quad Q6600
