I am buying the memory for my new system today, what benifit do I get from the ram with the cooling find like vengeance, g,.skill etc over just generic, I am buying 16 gb's can I over clock it, I don't game a lot but render home movies etc my system is asus sabertooth 990 fx, and fx-8350 , Samsung Evo 500gb ssd

The 8350 does not sound like it is a very high memory bandwidth solution.

Edit: Looks like if you get 2x8GB you may be able to get up to 1866, but 4x4GB looks like 1600
