More RAM or SSD for scratch disk?

Solution

Your configuration would be waste of money. Get one SSD (128GB 840Pro with its 5 year manufacturer warranty) and one WD Black 2TB HDD for other media files and second WD Black 2TB for backup!

i had planned for the following:

OS on SSD (Kingston hyper X 120GB) with photoshop and AE
Apps on HDD (Seagate 500GB)
scratch Disk (Seagate 500GB)
Working files (Samsung Evo 120GB)
Storage (Seagate 1TB)
Backup - with mirroring setup (Seagate 1TB)

workable or excessive without increase in perfomance?

My build is likely to be i& 4770 with GTX 770 or 780
32GB RAM

Wow :ouch: 32GB is overkilll for everyting you'll be fine with 16GB whats your budget?
