My system partition is nearly full and any new program cannot be installed there. And my friend suggests that I should increase the partition space since he says there is a large amount of free space on my E partition. But, he has failed in increasing it in Disk Management. What should I do to increase it? Please, help me!

It cannot be done in Disk Management. Windows tries to protect itself from disaster during such an operation by refusing to change the size of the Partition that contain the OS. Third-party software, as suggested above, is what you need.
And I echo: BACK UP all the Partitions on the HDD unit before proceeding. Plus, use the backup software to check the backup and verify that you can read it back again if you need to.
