Hey,

So I am here with a strange problem right now.
I have two external drives that I set to copy some files over night, but they stopped along the way for unknown reasons.
The problem now is that two of these drives are no longer registered in my USB 3.0 ports.
But they work fine in USB 2.0 ports, plus one of my other USB 3.0 external drive works fine in the USB 3.0 ports.
What the hell is that all about? o_O
I've tried restarting PC, and tried to remove the USB drivers and reinstall. Without luck.
It doesnt come up with the Windows "plugged in" sound when I connect them to the USB 3.0 either.

Any input is much appreciated
Thank you.

I wrote that one of my other USB 3.0 drives works fine, thats wrong. I just found out that drive is USB 2.0, so no USB 3.0 seems to be working anymore. Sorry for the confusion.

Ok, så now the USB 3.0 controller has completely gone dead, neither USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 registers, theres power in the ports though, but no responses. So I guess I could head to Asus and ask for a new MB, lol... o_O

Hello hang-the-9, and thanks for your answer.
But I did try everything, update BIOS, new drivers, old drivers, drivers from ASUS, drivers from ASMedia, turning on/off in BIOS, even tried restoring Windows to previous state, nothing did the trick.
It was clearly some kind of hardware issue. But thank God its all back to normal now. :)

Thanks again.
