I have a Asus H81M-PLUS Motherboard. It is a UEFI Bios.

During POST at startup I press F2 or DEL multiple times to try to enter the Bios but instead of entering the Bios I go to 'Windows Boot Manager'?

The POST logo boot screen is quick however I still manage to see the startup logo so I can press the required button to enter the bios. I get no acknowledgement on screen when pressing F2 or DEL but goes to Windows Boot Manager instead of into Bios. Why is that?

I have the latest Bios installed.

Check your motherboard manual for which key to press to enter bios setup. As soon as you turn on your PC start pressing the key repeatedly. If that doesn't solve your problem, try clearing CMOS and retry. Let us know what results you get.

I can get into the Bios by making the POST/logo screen stay on screen for longer so I can press DEL button plenty of times to get in.

Im using a wireless keyboard/mouse (non Bluetooth)

Whats the deal with windows boot manager?

I doubt I need to clear my CMOS cause I just recently built my PC meaning the motherboard and CMOS battery is still new and I hardly changed anything in the Bios so Bios settings are at default anyway.

Some PCs with both PS/2 and USB connections are configured to only allow USB input after the POST. This means that if you're using a USB keyboard, it could be impossible to access BIOS. In that case, you'd need to connect an older PS/2 keyboard to your PC to access BIOS.
I would pick up any simple PS/2 keyboard and try with that. Clearing CMOS is just to ensure once again to put everything to default.

PS/2 keyboard are rare nowadays and hard to find. I understand old motherboards will have trouble with USB keyboard entering Bios however I have the latest 8th Gen ASUS motherboard meaning it should cope and Bios settings should be preconfigured (default) to recognise wireless keyboards out of the box.

Anyways whats the deal with windows boot manager?

Do you think my wireless keyboard and mouse is causing slow input lag delay making it hard to enter the Bios?

you may be waiting too long to hit the DEL or F2 key or maybe it is delayed by your wireless keyboard. I don't know for sure but can be boot priority issue too.
Try hitting F8 and after getting into boot device choice, see if you get option like Enter Setup? Press that and see if you can enter BIOS straight way.

it happens both the time during cold boot and warm boot. Computer must be complete to verify all hardware is working properly before starting the remainder of the boot process.

Just hold down on the delete button from the moment you start your computer. lol. I've worked on hundreds of computers and some just end up being funky with the timing, which makes me just hold down or intermittently press the key upon starting. If that or brarboy's recommendation of resetting the CMOS doesn't work (just pull that thing out instead of pressing the CMOS jumper and turn the computer on after a bit without it)... I also think it might be the keyboard not being detected during the process. You can easily find a PS2 keyboard by just going to a GoodWill store (if unfamiliar, any thrift store where you can get 2nd hand computers). They also have cheap PS2-to-USB adapters (I'd offer you one, but we only have a bunch for mice at my job). You can get them for as cheap as $2 and you'll always have one handy for when you want to help someone (or yourself) if something requires it. If that still doesn't work, throw your computer out the window. jk. Keep us updated.

CHEAP USB Keyboard to PS2 Adapter on Ebay

Also, don't be these guys. Unless you hate your job & computer then won the lotto.

Just to confirm, your motherboard does use the DEL key (I read the manual). Make sure you're actually using the one next to Pageup/Pagedown, I've seen countless people use backspace and wonder why it doesn't work.

The manual is somewhat confusing, but i'll paste what it says.

To enter BIOS Setup after POST:
- Press Ctrl+Alt+Del simultaneously
- Press the reset button on your case
- Press the power button to turn the system off then back on (only use this option if the first two didn't work)

I think this is just telling illiterate people how to go back to the POST screen, but the title is misleading. Try to hold ctrl+alt+del and press the reset button at the same time.
