The problem I have is that about 80% of the time when I reboot my computer the Internet stops working. To solve the problem I have to use the windows internet diagnostics things like 1-10 times and then eventually it starts working again, it can be very time consuming. The same problem accors if I were to disconnect my ethernet cord and connect it again. However, the internet works flawlessly when I plug it into to my laptop so the problem is isolated to my dekstops hardware/software.

The problems started when my ISP had maintenance and I had to use my iphones internet sharing for a couple of days. After that my Internet was unstable and only worked once or twice. I had a Gigabyte P55A-UD3 motherboard with some sort o realtek LAN on it and Windows 7. I Figured my NIC was broken and replaced it with the only NIC in stock in my town a D-LINK DGE-528T. Unfortunately the new NIC uses the exact same chipset and driver as the integreated one :(  so it could be some sort of problem with the realtek driver/chipset and my system.

I don't use a router, I use comodo firewall, avast anti virus but I have tried uininstalling them and got the same results. I did find a rootkit on my computer using malwarebytes but i removed it. I use Windows 7 Pro(64-bit), it's a legitimate version.

What should I do ? Should I just go ahead and by another new NIC with a different chipset like an intel one?
