Hey everyone, I need a gaming/editing pc for around $750-$800. I don't need peripherals, monitor or os. This is what I currently put together.

http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/3bXVs

I live in Australia and I'll be playing BF4 on a 1680x1050 monitor. I'll also be playing minecraft which is cpu dependent. I'll also be recording and video editing. Thanks in advanced guys.

EDIT: Is this build ok? http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/3ct3f my new budget will be $1,000

If you bothered to check reviews of that PSU you'd find it's a very decent low cost unit especialyl since seasonic/corsair PSU's are EXPENSIVE in aus. http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pc-mac/pc-components/cases-cooling/power-supplies/silverstone-strider-essential-series-500w-st50f-es-717134/review

I'll edit with my build adjustment in a second, the rest post above is true though you'd be best off with 8GB RAM especially.

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($145.00 @ PCCaseGear)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($89.00 @ Mwave Australia)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB...

Hi,
-You will need at least 8GB of RAM for editing/rendering, although 16GB is recommended
-That motherboard you have selected has an old 760g chipset, which is not good for the Vishera/Piledriver CPU's, especially for the 8300 series. Get something with 970 or 990 chipset
-Also change the PSU and get something from the brands like:Corsair, XFX, Antec or SeaSonic

those new little r9 cards look great and even better in crossfire for bf4. a upgrade to a 990mobo would leave u room to add another in the future. the fx chip performs best on the 990 chipset as well.
leaving u room to upgrade to a 8350 and oc it to 4.5 ghz with a hyper 212 evo and some good case fans to match

Better mobo(has heatsinks on VRM so won't overheat) + 8GB RAM.

FX-6300 is weaker than the 8320 but not considerably, the 4GB vs 8GB RAM is more of a difference maker.

I'd grab a 212 Plus Cooler for $45 and OC your CPU in the future if you desire that.

if we are talking united states dollars here u need a different supplier because there is some over pricing.

maybe it has to do with shipping cost but if u spend several hundreds of dollars in one place u can surely find free shipping and save some cash in your pocket or use it to upgrade one of your other parts like the core that is cheaper on newegg with free shipping and the 8350 is ten dollars more with free shipping

i figured but surely if u are buying a 8320 the 8350 is little more no matter where u are not to mention its much higher base clock speed and optimized for better multicore usage

i think why they say optimized for the 350's and up is really just the clock rates alone as u say. for a 32nm core to remain viable with high performance gpu's it will require those rates and even 5ghz in not such a long period of time. if u are going to buy a old die and run 32nm cpu vs 28nm gpu u should have one that amd has worked the kinks out allowing for higher clocks at the same power draw.

thats my opinion about amd builds, take it as u wish
