Hello, I recently bought a lot of four comp towers for $20 as is. One of them (the one one I'm on now) is a MSI H55M-e23 with a i3 540 3.06 gh CPU. I bought 2gb of DDR3 1066 of ebay used for $10. I bought a Radeon HD6450 1gb DDR3 for $10 ($30 w $20 mail in rebate) I didn't want to spend a bunch of $$$ on ram and vid card if the mobo was fried, much to my surprise it wasn't. I have Thermaltake TR2 600w psu I paid $60 for and a 120 gb SATA HDD (outta my laptop) WINDOWS 7. I want to use it for decent gaming, I don't expect the world out of it, after all I paid $5 for it, then only put another $80 in to it. I bought a 4gb kingston Hyper blue DDR3 1600 new for $25 but it wont boot with that so taking it back. How much improvement can I expect from a new vid card and which one for a tight budget? Although if a new vid card would make a huge difference I'd probably spend the $$$ (within reason) for a good one.
Recommend GPU please!!!

So you are right not to expect too much from it. However, it should be able to keep up with anything in the 9th tier and lower in this hierarchy chart: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html
You could go with a faster card, but there comes a point of diminishing returns when it comes to the CPU bottlenecking the card.
