Is a good motherboard necessary for better performance.
What is the performance variation in a good and a normal motherboard?
I have selected AMD A8 6600K
and mobo is ASRock FM285X Extreme6
and another is Asus F2A85.
gpu will be R7 250X or the gt 650 ti.
pls help.
thank u. :)

Motherboards don't tend to effect gaming performance much or if not at all, Only OC. But with OC, that is better depending on the chipset you have for the CPU, the better the chipset generally the better the OC. Your current setup listed is absolutely fine and are great choices PS GTX 650Ti would be my pick.

The ASRock board is a nice one, I would up the Video to at least the GTX 750 or preferably the 750ti, The asus board would work also I would go with the ASRock, the boards aren't really a big consideration unless you plan to overclock and some aspects such as audio quality and Sli & Crossfire options. . Watch this video Linus Tech Tips. He compares MB's Gaming and normal not a lot of difference.

in my opinion the new kaveri a10 apu is a much better match if u are going that direction since u can disable the onboard graphics. since u would be working on a parallel process with the gpu so your system would scale best. the problem with the last gen of apu's was lacking of the needed cache that the fx chips benefit from in games

The only case within your budget is http://www.flipkart.com/cooler-master-k281-mid-tower-cabinet/p/itmdmhz9agn5fqat?pid=CABDMHZ8DCTWSGFA&srno=b_1&ref=d2a49522-6546-4f25-8783-f7a87243e2f7 It's an ATX case that can accept ATX and mATX motherboards. If you get that case, you could consider an ATX motherboard with a 970 chipset like:

if your going amd go 990 chipset asus is pretty much the best for gamers and working with amd.

990 chipset with a 6350 or 8350

these motherboards and chips are the latest amd models

altho separately they show a small difference when paired together properly and proper settings as a asus mobo will do your stability performance and room to upgrade is much better
