I'm having an issue with Windows 7 Ultimate. Basically, maybe every other time I start my computer, Win7 goes through login and then hangs while loading the icons on the task bar. The small status circle on the mouse pointer goes around and around indefinitely and eventually I have to power down and restart. I've waited as long as an hour before powering down. After restarting it loads fine.
I did a virus scan with symantec and a malware scan with malwarebytes and both found nothing. I've also looked at the ntblog.txt, but it didn't seem helpful since the order Win7 loads drivers does not stay the same every boot.
Can someone tell me which log files to check to debug this?
