Hello, I have experiencing a problem since i installed windows 8.1 on my pc. I had an eset smart security 7 subscription and used in in my new windows. When i installed eset my web was unsable. Chrome and explorer was crushing in 1 of 5 pages showing ''This webpage is not available, Error code: ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED''. After that I uninstalled eset and putted avast free. While avast was in my pc, everything was going normal. Yesterday i purchased a norton internet security 2014. By the time norton got into my system, the same browser problem appeared. I also cannot connect to my online games ( if it manage connect i have unstable latency from 140 ms to 500ms again and again). When i uninstall norton, everything is normal.
I contacted to norton customer support, they connected to my pc and after trying for 3+ hours, they did not find a solution. now i am waiting a phone call from their supervisor(hopefully), before i ask for refund.
Things i tried in vain:
Checking firewall settings (all settings were OK)
Deactivated firewall and protection
reset browser settings (IE + Chrome)
Cleaned DNS cache
Reset DNS cache
Reinstall norton after FULL uninstallation (even reg keys)
Multiple router resets
Multiple system formats
NOTHING solved my problem, except uninstalling norton (and ESET before i get norton)
I am starting to think it is a Windows problem, there is no other logical solution.
My system:
Windows 8.1 PRO 64 bit (fully updated)
AMD A4-3400 APU Family 64-bit
4 GB RAM DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6450
Norton representatives told me that it is not a known issue. If someone has any idea what is happening i would appreciate it.
Thank you in advance.
