Hello! I have a Hp Pavilion a310n desktop computer. When looking at the specifications for the motherboard via this link:

...it says the motherboard supports up to 2gb of memory but HP/Compaq only recommends 1gb. I just wanted some ideas of why HP/Compaq recommends only 1gb despite it being able to support 2gb. Do you think it will damage any parts if try upgrading to 2gb? Thank you.
