Hi, I am currently running an Asus P6X58D Premium mobo, Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67GHz with a Corsair H50 Cooler, Sapphire ATI Radeon 5870 1 GB Vapor-X, 6gb Corsair Dominator RAM (3 x 2GB) Triple channel DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) 8-8-8-24 , with Windows 7 64 bit. What do I need to upgrade to play Titanfall at max settings with steady frames with no lag and live stream at the same time? And have other programs open in the background like skype and chrome browser? I know my RAM is low, and my vid card is probably feeling dated as of now. Thanks!

Thanks for all the quick feedback guys. I'll have to check out prices for 780s.

The GTX 770 will get you there at about $320, but for a bit more safety during crazy scenes the GTX 780 would be better at about $475. My 760 averages about 65 fps maxed out at 1080p, but that's without streaming. The 770 can shadowplay to Twitch also.

And about your RAM, Titanfall isn't heavy on it, so 6GB will be fine.

Although the 780 ti and r9 290x are great top of line chips, you could very well do with a 770 but pushing it, I have 770 and play games like bf4 on ultra with respectable frames, but adding streaming is taxing. So maybe a gtx 780 would be minimal. r9 280x would also be minimal but since bit mining price wise the 780 is your best bet. But that said, the 780ti if in your budget, is damn good. Otherwise nvida should be releasing new cards within the coming months.

That's the identical card I have and have had absolutely no problems with it. Though, as far as overclocking and tweaking, evga does a really good job with factory overclocked on their superclocked cards and I cant even budge it without showing artifacts almost instantly.

For the price differenece for what you want it for, the gtx 770 is the best value/performance. Its a pretty big jump ffrom the 760 performance wise, and the 760 will be limiting you. The 770 might and i mean might limit you while gaming on ultra and shadowplay. But the 780 or 780ti would be overkill and unused potential. Especially for the price increase. I think best performance/budget the 770 is it right now. the 780 will guarentee you ultra and shadowplay while the 770 should get you there. But your talking $100-150 more for a will vs should. Plus thats ultra settings. On high settings the 770 will get you great gameplay for sure, the 760 might at high, and will for sure at medium.

I think you're greatly overestimating what it takes to run Titanfall... My 760 (tested it on recording to Shadowplay) gets an average of about 50 FPS Ultra, way more than medium. Shadowplay doesn't eat resources like other screen recorders can. The 770 would be better, though, as it will average over 60, while not being as effected by frame drops.

Well, #1 when running titanfall on either system of mine, it maxes at 60fps and never goes higher. Single 770 gets 60 fps, 770 sli gets 60fps, and my Asus g750 with 880m gets 60fps, and my Asus 750 with 860m gets 60fps. So game locks to screen refresh which is nice. But that said other games do go higher than 60, but I did notice that single 770 while loads of things going on does dip to 45 at the lowest I saw, whereas the sli stays 60 the entire time.

Don't quite think the 760 could do that good on ultra, maybe you have some other settings tuned down. But either way, that's still great.

Plus, didn't know that whadowplay doesn't mess with performance as bad as the other programs, that's great news. I have only tried shadowplay once, and turned it on, then hit the button while playing that was supposed to start capture and it didn't. No idea why, but I haven't even looked into it any more than just that quick trial. I could've easily have hit the wrong function key as well.

But, if I were to be buying new right now, and wanted to utilize shadowplay, i'd def spend the extra couple $$ to get the 770. Other games have nice performance boost. The 770-780 is the harder to justify upgrade, but I would recommend the 770 upgrade. Makes your card last a lot longer at ultra/high settings than a 760. Thus postponing the time frame you'd be looking at for upgrade next.

Oh I don't doubt anything you said. All I did was state that you must not have ultra with max settings. Which would still work and look great.

I don't have any personal experience with the 760, so its actually a good thing that OP has you with 760 experience, and I with 770.

All knowledge of the 760 that I have are benches ran that I've read comparing the 770 and 760. But those are older yet still new games. But yes, titanfall might not look a+ stellar on ultra like almost every other game. But performance requirements for the game are minimal compared to others. Which is great for non hardcore pc builders, and so so for those that do spend the time and money on their systems. Yet with titanfall being so fast paced on the go action, don't care about total stellar graphics as much as I care about evading bullets while sending out mine as often as possible.
