I am looking to upgrade my PC. Currently I have a AMD Phenom II X4 965 and a GTX 560 with 8GB of ram. I am adding a 250 GB SSD and then wanting to upgrade my CPU/GPU. I am looking at a i5 4670K (with new motherboard). What video card would go well with the CPU? Would a 760 be too much?

The i5 can easily handle the GTX 760. The GTX 760 is the best price for performance card at 1080p as far as I know.
X4 965 with a GTX 760 will be fine, you can overclock the cpu a little to get the most of the card.
The 4670k can fully handle dual 780 Ti's in SLI. I agree with sweenytodd, I would upgrade your GPU first for the immediate performance increase.
It will depend on the game. Most games will be GPU bottle-necked at 1080p with the GTX 760, I think. But MMOs using older engines and other poorly optimized games like Thief will benefit a great deal from the upgrade.
