Building the "best" price/performance €1000 gaming rig! need advice!

Hi guys,

I'm building my own gaming rig for around 1000 euro. I haven't been actively following the latest hardware news, but i read up on some stuff the past few days.
I want to build the best "bang for my bucks" gaming pc that 1000 euro can offer.
I live in belgium and i'll be buying from www.afuture.nl (keep that in mind for prices)

*I'll be overclocking a bit. I haven't done it before but i'm sure i'll get the hang of it. Won't be anything major though
*I'm unsure anout my motherboard. I think i could go for a cheaper one. I know little abouth them and i don't know how well certain bords interact with the rest of my gear.
*I've had some trouble with wireless connections on my previous desktop so any advice on good wireless adapters is welcome!

Will it be able to handle the witcher 3 in all it's glory?

Also there are big price differences when it comes to motherboards/psu. As i know relatively little abouth those, are te ones a picked a good option? I'm reading up on it and there might be cheaper altenartives?
a Asrock Z87 Pro3 for example? or an MSI G43?
And as far as the psu goes, i know it's important to have a good brand (if i'm not mistaken seasonic makes the PSU's of corsair? ) but how about the series (cx) and the wattage. is it enough even for futher upgardes? say sli in a year or 2?

Thnx for the answers. I'll look into the Gigabyte Z87-HD3 atm. It seems good for the price.
And wow! I dind't realise SLI was so power consumming! Hmm not sure what to do now.
850W is around €125. Thats double the price of my current 600W

Btw is there a big difference between 1866MHz or 1600MHz memory?
I know the latency is important, the lower the better. But for instance is it worth it to spend a bit more on 2133MHz CL 10-11 memory, compared to 1600Mhz CL9 gaming wise?
OR is it even better to put in more (16gb) of 1600MHz memory ?

-CL9 at 1600Mhz is all you need in gaming. No need for anything above 1600Mhz
-I would strongly suggest you not to use SLI/Crossfire, simply because two cards run hotter, draw more power and some games struggle with two cards and the scaling isn't that great. It would be better to use now single GTX770 and later on sell the GTX770 and get GTX780 or the maxwell GTX870 or something equivalent form AMD.

Alright thnx! that helped a bunch!

I'm still thinking about changing up the case.
I'm looking for an easy to build in case (like the corsairs) but also mainly a silent case. The problem is there are tons and tons of options.
NZXT Phantom 410 is catching my eye, but honestly €100 euro is a bit much for a case.
Any suggestions?

Ow btw, do i need to buy any additional fans? With overclocking in mind.

The NZXT is an excellent choice. Wait until you get your rig setup before you start buying additional fans. That way once you have your heat sink in place it will dictate how the air flows throughout your system.

Thnx again for all the info! Switching out the corsair for the seasonic atm.

While looking at cases i was also wondering if i could build a microATX rig with the same setup? This could be handy because i might move it some times.
I'd have to changed the motherboard for a micro one ofcourse but would the rest stay the same? And will the Cooler master still fit? Just wondering if this possible for around the same price/performance.
