So I am looking at getting a SSD. This one to be exact
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
So my motherboard is 3GB/S (SATA II presumably?). My question is will my motherboard be compatible with this SSD?

Thanks!

Simply put, it will work but at the slower 3Gbps speed, rather than 6Gbps.

The SATA III drive will work fine on SATA II controllers. It will just top out at SATA II speeds.

Just make sure your BIOS is updated to the latest release to reduce the possibility of a hardware compatibility issue with the newer hardware.
