help installing windows 7

just built a brand new pc, when starting it up i am able to get into bios. when booting from disc to install windows however it is telling me that bootmgr is missing. i have double checked all connections everything is plugged in and working properly. it is a brand new disc i received yesterday. does anyone have any idea how to fix this or did i get a bad disc?

Bootmng has to do with the HDD, not with booting from a disc. I would try tapping F12 or F10 on start up to bring up the boot manager and select the disc-drive directly. Then once windows is installed try rebooting normally.
