Hey there guys, I bought an AMD 7950 for my current build, It is a nice powerful card but unfortunately it is extremely noisy. My room is no that big and I can't really stand the noise anymore.

I mostly play diablo 3, dota 2, and occasionally adventure games. I play stuff like BF4 and Titanfall in the xbone.

So as far as I concern I don't need a lot of GPU, I just want a silent video card to run Diablo 3 Maxed out at 60fps. What do you guys recommend?

Solution
WELL, it depends on your budget. Personally, if i wanted performane close to that of the 7950 i would go with a 660ti or something equivalent to that, however if you want something silent, STAY NVIDIA. I mean sure, amd has a few cards from a select group of manufacturers whose cards run at decent noise levels, however for the most part AMD's are hotter, louder, and slightly more powerful for the price, while nvidia's are cooler, quieter, and honestly more elegant.

Thats just my 2 cents, somebody on here will probably attempt to "correct" my opinion, but to each his own i say.
return the 7950 if you can, and then get an aftermarket cooled card. you could max out diablo 3 and dota 2 at over 60 fps with a gtx 760, or even a 750ti,

the most important thing to look for when looking at buying a silent card is the aftermarket cooler. all it takes is a quick google search.

so what are you willing to spend? and based on that we here at TH can recommend you a new gpu

I can't no longer return the 7950, fortunately I friend of mine is buying it tomorrow. I would like to spend around 250 - 300 tops, I found a aftermarket cooler for the 7950 but it won't fit in my case :/ it is a Bit Fenix Prodigy.

Sorry was actually trying to reply to you picked up "best solution" as accident. Anyway what nividia card would you recommend? I don't think I need the 7950 power, as I said I mostly play indies and Diablo like stuff.
