Hello everybody!

I just moved, and now that I have a dedicated office, I wanted to use my old 32" HDTV as a main screen for my custom PC, and use my old acer 27" monitor as a secondary screen.

After filtering through the forums, I solved the main problem I was having with using my TV as a monitor. Windows was cutting off a bunch of the edges of the screen and it made it unusable. BUT i figured out that if change my TV to a setting for video called "Just scan" instead of 16:9, it worked! Now i see everything I have to see and it works. There is just one goofy problem left.

These two displays are both 1920 x 1080 native resolutions. The problem is that on the DESKTOP, I notice once I open say, chrome, to view the web, the HDTV doesn't show as much of a webpage as the computer monitor....AT THE SAME RESOLUTION. It's baffling me. Nvidia control panel and windows both have both displays at 1080, and I opened ESPN and the computer monitor shows so much more info.

I hope that image worked, because it shows exactly what is annoying me. What is WEIRD, is that I played a video game (lone screen obviously), on the TV screen, and it was GORGEOUS. So, it is a stupid problem that I'm hoping someone has a fix for. It isn't even a deal breaker for using the TV as a monitor, it is just annoying. Because according to my logic, they are running the exact same resolution, they should show me the EXACT same screen real estate, just get a few more inches of view with my 32 TV.

1080p is 1080p...right?

THANK YOU ALL for the help I appreciate it!

Yeah I tried messing with all the windows zoom settings/ font sizes/ etc.

Still nothing. The weirdest thing is that the problem is not "global" only apps running like internet explorer and explorer windows are doing this. a 1080p video game is CRISP and perfect ...

don't get it. It almost looks like the desktop runs at like 1600 x something and then a game or video plays and THEN it looks like it should at 1080...
