Hi all,
Before I describe my problem, let me provide you with some background information.
I'm using a desktop PC, Windows 7 64bit. There is an on-board WiFi on the motherboard (Asus P8Z77-V), but it's disable in BIOS due to low range.
Since May 2013, I've been using TP-LINK 300 Mbps High Gain Wireless N USB Adapter (Model No. TL-WN822N). Everything was working fine, until recently, when my adapter wasn't connecting to the network straight away, I needed to wait 2-3 minutes, before I got internet access. I thought that maybe there is something wrong with my adapter and I decided to buy a new one. The new adapter model is TL-WN823N.
I followed the installation manual: insert CD, plug in the adapter when prompted, install drivers plus utility. The new adapter is being recognised, but it's not seeing any networks. I tried many things after this. I've uninstalled drivers for my previous adapter, tried to install drivers for TL-WN823N with anti-virus and Windows Firewall disabled. Nothing.
I've read few forum discussions regarding similar issues, but unfortunately they didn't help me.
I've raised this with TP-LINK support desk and so far they only recommended me to install drivers after in uninstalled anti-virus - still nothing.
I've tried to use my new adapter on a different computer (laptop) and it works correctly, so I imagine that there is either a corrupted driver on my drive, or that some application is blocking my adapter from finding networks.
