Hello and thanks in advance for any advice offered. I had previously built a pc from suggestions given from this site with great results. The build was based on a i5 2500k in early 2012. My video card recently failed and am noticing issues with my motherboard. I was looking to replace my 570 video card with a 770 and motherboard keeping any parts from my current build if possible. I have yet to overclock my pc but will be looking to do so with this upgrade. If the budget allows, I am interested in leaving options open with motherboard for future upgrades of 2nd video card in sli.

Approximate Purchase Date: This Week

Budget Range:$400-$600 (A little space can be made if performance will be noticeable)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Bluray, video encoding, surfing the web

Are you buying a monitor: Have a 1080p BenQ GL2450HM (Will be buying a 2nd with 2nd video card)

Parts to Upgrade: Mobo, Video Card (PSU If Needed)

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com amazon.com

Location: San Benito, Tx - USA

Parts Preferences: EVGA/ASUS/GIGABYTE

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Yes/SLI (will purchase 1 video card with this week and 2nd card In 4 weeks)

Your Monitor Resolution: Currently 1920x1080 But Considering purchasing another of the same monitor with with 2nd card in 4 weeks

Additional Comments: (e.g.: Need to have a window and lots of bling, I would like a quiet PC. Please also list specific software or games you're using)

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Dead 770 EVGA Video Card, And Issues With Current Motherboard

Would it be a good idea to save a bit more money to pick a 4gb version instead of the 2gb?

google benchmark of gtx 770 4GB version or GTX 680 4GB
you will know that they provide zero advantage

Would I be able to get away with the Antec 300 case or should I look into replacing that as well?

the max supported gpu for antec 300 is 279mm
longer than that may block some HDD slots or cant fit in the case

but you said that you had gtx 770 before, does it fit?
