Hey guys, I have a problem that has been there for a long time.

Here's how it happens : I boot my PC and it power ups for 3 seconds or so and then the power cuts off. I boot my PC a second time and it shuts down again. But power ups on its own after a few seconds. And then I get a message saying my BIOS is corrupt and has to be repaired and its back to its original version. (I'm guessing my updated BIOS is the main one and the backup one is the older version, which is why it's going back to its early version when its repairing itself).

At first I thought it was my PSU but can't find any relation to that.

Also, I get Blue Screen of Death one time that said : PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. I fixed it by flashing my BIOS and it worked fine. Then I got another blue screen that now says : SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. I searched and find it might be my RAM but im not sure.

I'm sorry if i give a lot of information in one thread. Just thought my BSOD might be linked with my booting/power problem.

Oh and I just changed my CPU and GPU but I'm pretty sure the BSOD happened even before that.

Solution
well If you are still getting a BIOS corruption error you will need to reflash your bios to a good bios version.

to check and see if the ram is bad, Download Memtest86+ and burn it to CD/DVD/Flash drive and boot from that media. let it run for around 11 passes or so.

EDIT: also open command prompt in administrator mode and run this command without quotes "sfc/scannow".
