I ordered this today! Although this pc may be used for casual gaming, it most certainly isn't a gaming pc. It will be used for school, and occationally things like photoshop. It will also handle my youtube addiction lol. I need to keep it for at least the next five years, so I don't plan to overclock it :).

I know there is hardly any storage. Later, I'll use my dual docking system to dock a 3 tb hardrive. I might add another if that fills up :).

I plan to go triple monitor. I'm ordering a 32" for sure (for $210 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16889112074 ). I also plan to buy a used touch screen (19") off ebay and use that ($60 http://m.ebay.com/itm/271426433758?cmd=VI_SPR ) it doesn't have a stand so I plan to use it as a giant iPad lol. For my third I want to use one with faster response time (the other 32" is ok at 8 ms) or one with higher resolution (resolution preferred). What do you guys think? How does my order look?
How does it look? Thanks so much for your help so far. I really appreciate it.

I may be wrong, but I believe the only way to do a 3x monitor is with nvidia surround, which your gpu is capable of, but that only applies to games that support 'surround' and all 3 monitors must be identical. It should however do 2x monitors that are different.

Not a big fan of the corsair cx line if PSU's, they are pretty much at the lower end of average quality, and 5 years will be a stretch to reach for one. You'd be much better off with a quality PSU like Seasonic or XFX or Antec high current game or Evga @650w.

Because of your choice in CPU, whether you plan to overclock or not, you won't be able to. While an excellent processor, the 4770 is a locked multiplier CPU. To overclock you need a 'k' designated CPU like 4770K. This...

Because of your choice in CPU, whether you plan to overclock or not, you won't be able to. While an excellent processor, the 4770 is a locked multiplier CPU. To overclock you need a 'k' designated CPU like 4770K. This makes your choice of a 'Z87' motherboard a little overkill, a 'H87' would be a cheaper choice, the 'Z' boards being built for overclocking.

Also, since your CPU has no overclocking ability, there is no need for an aftermarket cooler, the stock cooler is sufficient, unless you just want one, they do run quieter.

Rest looks fine. Personally, i'd go with the 4770K, and OC to 4.2-4.3, a faster processor will do nothing but help you and is well within all parameters of the CPU, mobo and cooling solutions. Is also upgrade the OSU to one of some quality. You only really need a 650w, but with all those case fans, optical drives and that lighting strip, a 750w wouldn't hurt.

Thanks all! I appreciate it.

As for the parts, I'll double check all of them. I've read the horror stories, but tho was way cheaper then building it myself (I had no tax, free shipping, and 5% off that price). If they switch any parts or screw anything up, then I will immediately call them and complain.
What do you think I should do about the monitors?

Thanks for your input again guys!

well, anything over about 30" ceases to be a monitor, and becomes a TV, so if resolution is what you want, I'd get just the 1x 27" IPS.
Monitor: Asus PB278Q 27.0" Monitor ($549.99 @ Amazon)
Damn good monitor, best resolution, good size. Anything larger and the resolutions get worse, and screen sizes go 16:10 instead of 16:9, and over 30" its all 1920x1080, or 1080p.
I realize the cost is more than the 32" Spectre, but its comparable to the price you'd spend on 2x of those, and the picture is worth it.
Since you are getting Win8.1, don't see any worries with a touch screen... ipad... lol
oh, and I'd bump up your gtx770 to the 4GB version, does better with multiple monitors over the 2GB

Why about triple monitor vs dual? Would that be acceptable on the 2 gb or is it something that I'd need to use the 4 gb for for sure?

Also thanks for that monitor. It looks like it has a really nice picture, I like it alot. I have a month or so to decide, so I'm not worried yet :).

Nvidia only supports 2 monitors in regular usage, to use 3x monitors you have to use 'nvidia surround' which is only supported by certain games, and requires the use of 3 identical monitors. The only other way to get 3 monitors I know of would be to use 2 different Gpu's, like the gtx770 running 2 screens, and a gtx760 running a third, or even 2x770's in sli, with a 760 running the 3rd monitor. Nvidia's website has much more information on the subject.

So essentially, without crossfire or another card of some sort, it is impossible to have 3 screens that are independent from one another (not combining screens)?

I realize that I need identical monitors for surround.. But I would really rather have 3 independent monitors so I can watch a movie while playing a game while using my giant touch screen to google (for example), as surround (from what I hear) isnt even widely supported anyways.
