hi i have a dell optiplex 380 desktop and i want to upgrade its powersupply and case so im buying a micro atx antec vsk-3000 and a antec basiq 350watt power supply but i was looking at my motherboard and its a micro atx mothebroard so i think it should fit fine in the new case but what i noticed was that the front IO pannel was not series of wires and pins connecting to the motherboard like all stock cases have but what it was was a circuit board with the 2usb ports power switch and auido ports on the front that was attached with a ribbion connector connecting it to the motherboard does that mean my motherboard wont work with the new case???

It means you will have to do a lotta pin modding and rewiring to use the front IO panel on the new case. Also, that's a BTX mainboard so you might have problems getting it into a standard case. I've heard it's been done but it's by no means a simple swap.

I've seen 380 Minitower cases on ebay before for as low as $50. That would be a simple swap but probs not exactly what you're looking for.
