Please not i said TO a flash drive. i already know that i can use it to install windows 8 but can i install windows 8 on it for the time being

plenty of space.the iso for 64bit is only 3.4gb.

No, you can't install Windows 8 to a 8GB USB and use it as a boot device to run Win 8 from. I assume that is your question vice installing the ISO to the thumb drive for installation purposes.
