I currently have a Gateway old Desktop GT5657E

(specs here http://www.computer-specifications.com/specifications/Gateway-GT5657E-Specs.html)

Inside I have an AMD 64 X2 4200+ 2.2Ghz processor.

I already bought on eBay an AMD 64 X2 6000+ 3.0Ghz processor. (waiting for arrival)
(These are both AM2 socket compatible)

My question, do you think the stock fan & heat sink are fine for this new processor or do i need to also purchase a new fan.

If so, recommend me a link ;-) and cheap please..

I'm also upgrading from these onboard graphics to a GT 640 and I'm hoping kind of just to run some old PC games such as Halo 2, CoD4. Do you think these will run fine with my upgrades?

I'll appreciate any suggestions.

and my psu is good i upgraded from 300watt to 680watt which bearly fit in this thing!!

As a rule of thumb, I wouldn't even own a GPU with less than 2GB. You're just not getting enough bang for your buck.

The stock fan is more than capable unless you plan on overclocking. If you are overclocking, let me know and I'll recommend some good coolers.

Not saying I wouldn't be interested in overclocking I just don't know how but for now ill most likely keep it stock. What do you think about this GT 640 with 1GB of DDR3 Galaxy edition. Is it good for say a game like Guitar Hero 3 19' monitor 1440x900
